Pravisht, Anchal and everyone else were shocked to learn about ‘Barrister Babu’ going off-air: Diksha Tiwari

They say, everything comes to an end. Colors’ popular show ‘Barrister Babu’ is soon going to bid adieu to the viewers. The cast is slated to shoot their last this month and the plug will be pulled off from the show from November onwards. Rashami Sharma’s show ‘Sirf Tum’ starring Vivan D’sena and Eisha Singh will replace the show.

India Forums got in touch with actress Diksha Tiwari who plays the character of Tupur in the show. We asked her about her reaction on the news, she said, “I was completely shocked and numb. The show had a lot of scope. It was not at all expected. I was shooting on the sets when the news was officially announced. All of us including Pravisht and Anchal were shocked and were in disbelief. I immediately went up to Pravisht and Anchal and hugged them. It’s indeed very upsetting”.

She added, “The show enjoys a massive fan-following and there are many tracks that could’ve been explored. The show has always spread social messages and many were in the pipeline. However, looks like our association was only meant for this while and we would have to part ways with our fans and viewers”.

Talking about the opportunity of playing Tupur, Diksha said, “I feel blessed to have been a part of a project like ‘Barrister Babu’ where the cast and crew are so positive and the team work that they believe in. I got to play a lot of shades in the small span of time. From a docile wife, to a revengeful wife to a strong-headed woman; I got to play a lot of emotions which were all loved by the viewers. I’ll miss everyone from the Director, to my actors and technician. It was indeed a fruitful journey”.

‘Barrister Babu’ is produced by Shashi Sumeet Productions. The show has a stellar star cast including actors like Pravisht Mishra, Anchal Sahu, Rishi Khurana, Sadiya Siddiqui, Diksha Tiwari among others.
