As an actor, there is always this need and requirement to evolve. Television is a constantly changing medium and so are the users needs. While content keeps on changing to fit into the current demands, actors too, often adapt. However, is there any kind of pressure to constantly have to evolve and adapt to changing user needs, is something only an actor can answer. India Forums got in touch with Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya actress Pooja Gor, and she has quite the insight to give.

She tells us regarding the need to change that it does not happen because of them. She tells us, ''Not for users, it is not for them, in fact, being typecast into a character is actually and advantage for actors and I have come to realise that. If you are typecast into a certain role, just imagine who will be the 2-3 names when that kind of character is ever made, you will be the first name and if you accept it and it works out for you, then you are going to have that one kind of role forever. Just imagine it is. Us actors, we try really hard to change our image, not realising this, I have also realised this very late.''

She added, ''But, to adapt and evolve is not a pressure for the users, I do want it for myself and I work hard on it, I take breaks, consistent efforts, I don't pick up just about anything, it really has to excite me because then I will come happy on sets. It is really important for me, to be happy, money is one thing, you can do something for money, but that will make you happy for that one day when you will receive your pay cheque, or one day when you are frustrated on sets and you think about the money and you are like just work, but it is not sustainable. You genuinely want to work, otherwise what is the different between someone who is not an actor and hates their job and you, who has got a creative work - this job is creative for a reason, you are called artist for a reason and art cannot come out of dissatisfaction.''

Pooja recently returned to her cult character of Pratigya during the Ankahee Daastaan episode on Star Plus, and revealed how the character is now like second skin to her.
