PM Narendra Modi invites Asit Kumarr Modi for Clean India Campaign

Asit Kumarr Modi along with the entire team of his show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be part of first nine citizens of India to kick start his Clean India Campaign (swachha bharat abhiyan).

Asit Kumarr Modi along with the entire team of his show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be part of first nine citizens of India to kick start his Clean India Campaign (swachha bharat abhiyan).

Says Asit Kumarr Modi, "This is a very very proud moment for me and my team. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has become a national pride now. Core message of our show is to spread awareness about various social issues and one of major concerns of India is cleanliness. When we go aboard we see so very clean and sparkling streets. Why can't we do the same with our country? If each one of us decides to keep their area clean, India will also become very clean and healthy country. We are with our PM in this mission and we will invite nine more people to create this chain."

Added Disha Wakani, "In our show Gokuldham society is very clean. Even the children in the society are taught these civic manners. I appeal to all our fans to follow the same conduct in real life."

Says Dilip Joshi, "Yes, we are indeed proud. It's a great honor. And please remember that cleanliness is the civic responsibility of each and every Indian Citizen."

Not only Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, but other TV shows should incorporate story lines to show people getting involved in cleaning up India, whether it is the protagonist telling off someone for throwing litter or themselves getting involved in the cleaning up in their neighbourhood!
