PM Modi Thanks Bollywood for its Contribution to battle COVID-19 outbreak!

The coronavirus outbreak has put several countries in trouble and owing to the difficult crisis faced by India, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked celebrities, his fellow citizens to contribute monetary funds towards the PM-Cares fund. Now, the PM has thanked Bollywood stars for their contributions to the Fund launched to help the nation combat coronavirus outbreak. On Tuesday, the PM shared a series of tweets thanking celebrities who have come forward to back his appeal.

Taking to his Twitter handle on Tuesday evening, Modi said, “India’s stars are playing a starring role even in ensuring the health of the nation. They’re playing a leading role in raising awareness as well as in contributing to PM-CARES. Thanks @nanagpatekar, @AjayDevgnFilms, @TheAaryanKartik and @TheShilpaShetty.”

Later that night he thanked a few more as he Tweeted, “Every effort counts, every contribution matters. I thank leading film personalities @MadhuriDixit, @bhumipednekar, @ayushmannk, @aliaa08, @karanjohar for supporting PM-CARES. By being proactive and taking right precautions we have to overcome COVID-19. #IndiaFightsCorona”

He even thanked Indian rapper Badshah, singer Guru Randhawa and actors Ranvir Shorey, Nana Patekar, Kartik Aaryan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Ajay Devgn for contributing to the fund.

Back in 2019, Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Varun Dhawan and filmmakers Karan Johar, Rohit Shetty were among those who were a part of the delegation that met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. To which Karan Johar addressed it as a Powerful and timely conversation. 

PM Modi is known of sharing a strong bond with several Bollywood stars and on several occasions he has arranged a meet with stars discussing how entertainment can educate the citizens of India.
