Fashion entrepreneur and stylist Pernia Qureshi is happy that her friend and actress Sonam Kapoor will be taking out time on her birthday to walk for her first stand alone fashion show here as a showstopper.
Pernia is all set to launch her "Amrapali" line on Thursday.
"Sonam is a very special friend of mine and I am happy to announce that she will be walking the ramp for me as a showstopper for my first stand alone fashion show," Pernia said in a statement.
The details of what the "Khoobsurat" star, who is known as Bollywood's fashionista, will adorn for the show is not out yet.
Pernia, who made her Bollywood acting debut with "Umrao Jaan" director Muzaffar Ali's "Jaanisaar" last year, will be showcasing her signature festive collection "Amrapali" which takes inspiration from 1966 film of the same name starring Vyjayanthimala as the royal courtesan in the majestic splendor of the ancient empire of Magadha.
Pernia has also tried her hand at designing costumes for Bollywood as she worked on film "Aisha", which featured Sonam.
