Pavitra Rishta 2 S2: Shaheer and Ankita's performance with heartfelt moments take the show forward

(3.5/5) The second installment of this show is almost as overwhelming as the first and it does have its own set of plus and mine.

Pavitra Rishta... It's Never Too Late has returned to the screens with a season 2 and it kickstarts right where it left, with Archana (Ankita Lokhande) and Manav's (Shaheer sheikh) marriage has dissolved. Bit all this time later, they keep coming back to each other, but will they get together for good? That's what this season is primarily about!

Performances

Shaheer as Manav is a better and evolved performer this time around. He manages to wear simplicity and modesty like a second skin. Ankita, on the other hand, is a beautiful and well written Archana, where she manages to own every aspect of her life - being an employee, a daughter, a sister, and on most occasions, being human. Others, who have also done their parts well include Asheema Vardaan, Pooja Bhamrrah, and Usha Nadkarni. The latest addition, Vivek Dahiya too, manages to impress us just about decently. Anant V Joshi aka Satish, is an ideal favourite choice for most of us who watch!

The Good

Much like I felt about the show last season, I feel the same thing when it comes to how the leading pair makes me feel. For someone who is an absolutely romantic at heart, all those subtle moments they share and the utter similarities between them, leave you in awe every single time. Time and again, we are told and also shown, just how much they belong. The background score is also a plus once again, and it makes you feel so many things, every single time.

This part of the show, does have additional freshness to it, and that, does us well. The dialogues too, continue to be a great great part of this show, and performances only enhance what we see.

The Not So Good

There are instances here and there when you do end up wanting to skip to the good part (where Archana and Manav are together). There's no denying that some moments are uncalled for and some, you feel have loopholes. While the show incorporated the pandemic into it, there were no masks involved! (strange things here)

Verdict

The second installment of this show is almost as overwhelming as the first, and while your ideology around love is the only thing that would possibly turn you against this show, it could also re-instill in you, the concept of if two people are meant to be, they will be, no matter how long it takes for them to do it.
