Parth Samthaan explains what happened exactly when he was accused of flouting COVID-19 rules

As one would remember, actor Parth Samthaan was amongst the first few celebrities to have been contracted with COVID-19 which he managed to recover from smoothly as well. At that time, he went under isolation at his Goregaon residence and kept updating about his health and recovery on social media to keep everyone aware.

However, he was later involved in a controversy after a few of his society members alleged him of  violating  BMC rules in their various posts on Twitter. However, while sharing his experience of contracting the virus, the actor also opened up on how lack of knowledge and confusion had put him in that situation. 

Now talking about it with SpotboyE, Samthaan said, "To be honest it was not that stressful or anything because I recovered the very next day. But yes there were so many people that I heard of that actually were very severe in that case. I remember it was more of a mental torture because that time it was very new to people. And people were shocked and didn't know how to receive it. Today fortunately we all are aware of it and even we had gone back to work life. It's just that unfortunately cases have rose and people are calling it a second wave. Though we are still figuring out a permanent solution, at least we have the precautionary vaccine with us. Thankfully my parents have been vaccinated, so that's way I am feeling secure. Also trying to stay at home as much as I can."

He felt that lack of knowledge led to this, saying, "It was just basically a lack of knowledge with people of today's world. And it's very unfortunate that a lot of educated people were seen during COVID treating you as an animal or alien to the uneducated ones. Like your helper, caretaker, servant, watchman, security guards and the good part was these were the people who were treating things very maturely. A lot of educated people unfortunately have been stuck up and restless. One has to calm themselves down. I am not saying that it is not a serious thing, it is a serious thing. But you have to act maturely."

On the workfront, Samthaan has his web debut Main Hero Bol Raha Hu rolling for release on Alt Balaji in the next few days.
