Paridhi Sharma, widely remembered for her portrayal of Jodha in Jodha Akbar and recently seen in her Bollywood debut, Haq, alongside Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam, is stepping into a new and meaningful phase of her career. With Haq receiving strong box-office success, the actress is exploring new opportunities, gaining deeper insights, and developing a more profound emotional connection with acting.

A New Phase After Haq’s Box Office Success

After the positive response to Haq, Paridhi is experiencing a new momentum in her professional journey. She shares, “Thankfully, the movie has garnered amazing success at the box office, so eventually it is helping me out. Now I’m able to give more auditions, and I have already signed another project where the role is quite prominent. I will be shooting for it at the end of December.”

Although she has been one of television’s most admired artists, her transition into film introduced her to a different side of the entertainment business. Paridhi explains, “I won’t say my perspective has changed, but my experience has definitely deepened. One thing I’ve observed is that there is a lot of hierarchy in the film industry, which, fortunately, I have never experienced in television. TV gives so much value to equality, and I truly appreciate that.”

From Fame to Spirituality: How Acting Evolved for Her

Over the years, Paridhi’s bond with acting has transformed in a meaningful way. She reflects, “Yes, I am absolutely passionate about acting. Earlier, when I came to Mumbai, my inspiration was name, fame, and validation. But now it has completely changed—it feels like a spiritual process. What I feel between action and cut is liberating. Every time you drop the façade and feel the real you, it opens the heart centre. For me as an artist, that experience is extremely freeing.”

Looking back at her growth, she shares the core lesson she carries: “My learning over the years has been to remain a student of art. Always be open to learning, keep your head down, stay humble, have gratitude, and keep evolving as a human being. Eventually, it reflects in your art.”

OTT has opened massive opportunities since the lockdown, and it’s wonderful for actors. The platform has become so prolific.”
