Paras Madaan on engagement to Soumita, when he knew she was the one and more

Paras Madaan is all set to get married to Soumita Das, who he met during one of his shoots, and then the two hit it off later. The duo will be having their Roka ceremony on March 7, and they decided to take their time until they made it public. Madaan was last seen in Beyhadh 2. 

We recently got in touch with the actor about marriage plans, taking things forward, and more. Read the conversation here.

Tell us about your love story.

I met Soumita in 2018 when I was working for a production house which she was heading. We became very good friends and soon started hanging out quite often. Then we fell in love & the rest is history.

When were you sure about taking it to the next level?

COVID was one phase that touched everybody’s lives in ways more than expected and the same was the case with us. It was only during this phase that we had enough time to ponder and understand things. We then decided to take it forward. There is no better feeling in this world like knowing that you have such a loving and caring partner to stand by you whilst facing whatever life throws at you.

Have you been someone who was open to marriage or did you ever have apprehensions?

I have always believed in the sacred custom of marriage and knew one day I will have to settle down too but I was also sure that I will do so only when I find the right person. For me, it is not just about tying the knot, it’s more about respecting that knot and keeping it strong and tight.

With everything now official, and engagement soon, has anything changed between you two?

It all seems like a dream come true and I’m simply loving every bit of it. Our bond has become even more beautiful and strong. It’s a beautiful feeling which is just beyond expression. All I know is that I just want to hold her hand and start this magnificent chapter of our lives.

What kind of a marriage are you looking forward to?

I always wanted a great friend in my partner and I’m lucky to have found one. Marriage is like teamwork where you not only get to know each other and explore the various shades of your partner but most importantly how you support, respect, sail through and emerge out stronger in tough times. I’m looking forward to this amazing start with all my heart where I want to collect these tiny little precious moments and create a mesmerizing canvas of my love story.
