Pamela Chopra, the mother of actor Aditya Chopra, passed away on Thursday morning at Lilavati Hospital. She was the late director Yash Chopra's wife. Several Bollywood stars visited Aditya Chopra's home shortly for her funeral to express their condolences. Among them were Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, and his son Aryan Khan. Vicky was seen arriving with Katrina Kaif. Katrina starred in Yash Chopra's last directorial, 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.
Later on, Aamir Khan, along with his ex-wife Kiran Rao also arrived. Karan Johar, Shraddha Kapoor and Ranveer-Deepika also made their way towards Yash Chopra's residence.
Pamela Chopra was a singer, producer and writer and is credited as a co-screenwriter in Dil To Pagal Hai. Shah Rukh Khan has worked in several Yash Chopra directories, including Darr, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer Zaara and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. He has also extensively worked in several Aditya Chopra films, including Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Mohabbatein, and Chak De! India and the latest production, Pathaan.
In 1970, Pamela wed Yash Chopra, and she continued to have a significant impact on his career. Pamela worked for Yash Raj Films as a fashion designer, producer, and associate producer, in addition to singing and writing. Surkh Jode Ki Jagmagahat in Kabhie Kabhie, Khude Se Jo Vada Kiya Tha in Silsila, and Ghar Aaja Pardesi in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge are just a few of the songs she sang for his flicks. She penned the script for the 1976 movie Kabhie Kabhie.
