Pakistani actress Yasra Rizvi talks about her favourite Bollywood actors and more

Pakistani actress-writer Yasra Rizvi is celebrating her birthday today. The actress is best known for her role as Jugnu Chaudhary in Zindagi's original series, Churails. The show was listed amongst 5 best web series by GQ. 

Well recently the actress got in a candid conversation with India Forums, where the actress talked about her webseries, favourite Bollywood actors and more. Read excerpts to know more.

Your web series Churails was listed amongst 5 best web shows by GQ, tell us about that.

(exclaiming with joy) Oh wow, really I didn't know about this. I am very happy to hear that wow, Oh great  I was just a little away and didn't know whats happening in the world outside.

What is your favourite when it comes to choosing between acting and writing?

I think i would choose writing because of my poetry because that's something that is very close to my heart, its something very unfiltered, its something that reached everybody easily, also a lot of people out there don't even know that I am an actor they just know that I write poetry. There is also an connection with the Indian people also. Actually I was kind of surprised with the overwhelming response i have received from India on on of my video and it's crazy and that's very personal so ya.

How do u look at the current scenario of Bollywood ?

Pata hain kya mera bollywood ka current conncetion bilkul bhi nahi hai. Because I have always been a Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir khan fan , humara bachpan unki filmien dekhke guzra hai, when churake dil mera kind of films use to come Suniel Shetty- Shilpa Shetty, those films I used to see a lot. Now that i have started seeing recent films of Ayushmaan Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao films ye wala jo aplog ka new age cinema aya haina naya jismai apki ladkiyan bhi bohot ache hai jaise Bhumi Pednekar, Radhika Apte they are very good so ye wala bunch mujhe pasand hai , the kind of stories and art they are making I like it.

A special birthday wish that you want to make?

Mein na yeh chahati hu ki humare mulk mai na female directors kum hai thodi toh. I have directed 2 shows as of now and  will be directing 3rd so i want those shows really excel so the female directors trend should get more importance. Yeh meri dua hai.(this is my wish).
