Pakistan Mocks Bollywood; announces a Comedy movie on IAF Pilot Abhinandan!

Recently, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi announced his next film, the real life story of the Balakot Air Strike as well as the capture and release of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. After PM Narendra Modi, the movie that is titled ‘Balakot – The True Story’, will be Vivek’s second biopic.

Bollywood has been seeing a trend of biopics and movies based on real incidents lately, and the movie on IAF pilot Abhinandan would mostly gain a positive response from the audiences. Apparently days after the announcement, a Pakistani filmmaker is planning to make a movie on the same topic but in comedy genre. 

Seems like its Pakistan’s way of mocking Bollywood’s patriotism!

As per the reports stated by News 18, veteran Pakistani writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar will pen down and direct a comedy movie on the apprehension of IAF pilot Abhinandan, which will be titled as Abhinandan Come On. 

While not many details about the movie have been revealed, it is being speculated that actor Shamoom Abbasi will essay the role of pilot. According to Dunya News, the actor confirmed the news, saying, "What is to come will be a surprise for his fans and the Pakistani audience."

As per the reports so far, the makers will start shooting from September onwards. The film will be released on February 27, 2020, which is the same date on which the Indian pilot was captured by Pakistan.
