Oscars 2020: Mindy Kaling’s Stunning Diamond Necklace Had a Personal Security Guard

American comedian and actress Mindy Kaling stepped out on Sunday night at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles wearing a bright yellow one-shouldered Dolce & Gabbana gown with a huge diamond necklace by Chopard. The necklace has been inspired by the from Ocean’s 8.

“In the movie ‘Ocean’s 8’ we stole a necklace that was identical to this one and I felt happy to wear it,” Mindy told Variety on the red carpet. 

In the movie, Kaling stars as Amita, a jeweler who creates the decoy necklace which the team of thieves swaps out with the genuine article during the Met Gala.  

Mindy further added that Chopard sent a security guard to watch over her necklace all night. She jokingly stated that she was being guarded to ensure that similar heist is not performed again.
