Onscreen pairs have a blast on Valentine's Day - Part 1

Karan Tacker and Yashashri Masurkar:

Khanak and Shaan of Yash Patnaik and Swapna Waghmare Joshi's Rang Badalti Odhani on Star One make for one of the cutest couple in television industry today and let's see what they said about each other and also about the day.

Karan Tacker says "Frankly speaking, I do not believe in the concept of Valentine's Day because I believe that any day can be a Valentine's Day. But if I have to take Khanak out for a romantic date, I would take her to her favourite place, Dhulvadi with a menu of Gujarati vegetarian food and I think that would be the best gift for Khanak. As far as Karan's Valentine's Day is concerned, I am lucky not to have an unpleasant date till date".

Well, that was really cute of Shaan to understand what Khanak likes and really lucky Karan, for all the pleasant dates. But does Khanak also understand Shaan? Let's see..

Yashashri Masurkar avers, "I prefer any day apart from the weekends and Tuesdays as Valentine's Day, because on weekends there is a lot of traffic and on Tuesday I have a fast and hence can't eat non-veg food (laughs), and  Valentine's Day is a day to enjoy with food and love. And if I have to take Shaan out, that would definitely be for a Rock Concert as he loves it and a dinner with Chinese on the menu. Since Yashashri has not gone for a Valentine's Date till now, I am all single ready to mingle (laughs)".

Karan V Grover and Suhasi Dhami:

Karan and Abha of Zee TV and Rajshri Productions' Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli has already been separated in the show, but we thought why not bring them together on this happy occasion. We saw that both of them had something really serious to tell about each other.

Karan says "Abha is completely unromantic which I would definitely like to improve and also add a little bit of naughtiness in her. And on Valentine's Day I would take her on a hot air balloon and see to it that I land it in the middle of a desert. To make it the most romantic, I would put up a Shamiana in the middle of nowhere and have a lovely vegetarian dinner, and surprise her later with a deadly dune bashing".

Karan, that is romantic in spades. But what about Abha?

Suhasi says "If Abha has to plan a Valentine's Day, it would be the most devotional and sacred one where she will take Karan to a Mandir for a Bhajan and thank God for giving him back. I feel that Abha should work on her romantic skills and be a little naughtier".

That makes it clear that Abha has to improve on her romanticism..

But before they signed off, Karan gave us some tips on what to avoid on a beautiful date on Valentine's Day.

Karan advices "Do not fake, even in the way you dress up, as there are people who over dress on the day and remain casual on the rest of the days. Secondly the lady deserves respect because it is because of her that we are here today, and thirdly don't play smart and try your hand at double dating".

Vivian Dsena and Sukirti Kandpal:

I think it's been enough of having normal dates with couples. Let's  see how the vampire Abhay in Star One and Balaji Telefilms' Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani would date...

Sukirti Kandpal shares "I would love to have a vampire boy friend who is strong with all the superpowers to fight off the irritating boys. And if I am arranging a Valentine's Day for Abhay, I will take him to the woods and give him a black rose as he loves black and will gift him something because he doesn't eat".

The vampire himself says "I don't mind having a vampire girlfriend because I would love to know how they are, and explore and understand the difference they have from us. But for Piya I will have to arrange a candle light dinner on a Valentine's Day and take her for a walk in the woods".

Sukirti and Vivian also share about who they visualize as the most loving couple. Sukirti says "My mom and dad are the ideal pair for me because they had dated for ten years and had to surpass all the family hurdles because my mom is a Rajput and dad, a Brahmin."

"I idealize Shah Jahan and Mumtaz as the perfect romantic couple as he created the most wonderful romantic symbol for his love", says Vivian. 

Iqbal Khan and Binny Sharma:

Rudr and Gauri in Zee TV's Sanjog Se Bani Sangini did have a tough start with their relationship but are now inseparable. A relationship that began with a deep friendship has now turned into beautiful love.

Iqbal compares himself with Rudr and says  "I think I am quite different from Rudra in most ways. Rudra tends to be on a short fuse and can have a very volatile reaction to situations; I don't think that I fall into the same bracket on those terms"

But Binny has a different view about herself and her character "I think I am very much similar to Gauri because both are strong and dare  to take up challenges".

Well, what if both of them have to take each other out for a dinner?
Iqbal says "If I have to take Gauri out, then the menu will definitely be a Biriyani because that's my favourite food".

Binny says "If I had to take Rudr out, then the menu will be completely non-veg because both of us are great foodies".

Iqbal also says about a Valentine Resolution that would be taken by Rudr for Gauri "I think Rudra needs to be more expressive about his feelings for Gauri and should stop taking her for granted. So that would be my resolution for him".

Barun Sobti and Ankita Sharma:

Contract marriages are a trend in television industry and at present too we have a couple who helplessly got into the sacred institution of marriage but are today inseparable..We are talking about Shravan and Sachi of Sony's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai...

Barun says "Sachi is really good but at times she acts a bit senseless, and given a chance I would like to improve this quality of her's. Sachi is right almost all the time and I like her righteousness".

What about Ankita? She says "I would like to improve on the irresponsible behaviour  of Shravan, but at the same time I believe that we are made for each other. I like his attitude towards me, but I don't like the way he carries his life".

Barun also says about a Valentine's Day plan for Sanchi "Shravan is very flamboyant and will plan a grandeur Valentine's Day for Sanchi, may be with the help of Tara".

With today being the Valentine's Day, all the couples indeed gave a sweet gift for their viewers and we just hope and wish they too have a memorable Valentine's Day.
