The only characters we remember in a film is a protagonist and the antagonist and when it comes to Bollywood it changes to the hero and heroine i.e the actor and his leading lady but many times there are supporting characters who rule our hearts in the whole movie.

So today on the eve of Mothers Day we have got you many of the best On-Screen mothers who stole the show with their strong performances.

1. Tabu (Haider)

The Vishal Bharadwaj film Haider which featured Shahid Kapoor in the lead role was based on Shakespeare's Hamlet. In the film, Tabu played the role of Haider's mother and along with Shahid, she was the one who impressed everyone with her flawless performance and her expressions which suited the plot of the film perfectly.

2. Swara Bhaskar (Nil Battey Sannata)

In this amazing film, Swara played the role of Chanda a mother of a teenage daughter whose only dream is to get her child educated. Chanda is undoubtedly one of the strongest mothers ever seen in Bollywood films.

3. Seema Pahwa (Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan)

In 2017 films Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan actress Seema Pahwa played one of the funniest and at the same time the strongest mother. Along with the lead actors of the film, Seema impressed the audience with her amazing dialogue delivery and perfect comic timing.

4. Saba Qamar (Hindi Medium)

The 2017 film Hindi Medium was critically as well as commercially hit. Along with Irffan Khan, Saba Qamar also impressed everyone by playing a mother who is too much worried about her daughter's future and wants to get her admitted in the best school. A very relatable character played by Saba impressed everyone with her performance.

5. Sridevi (English Vinglish)

Not in a supporting role but is the leading lady of the film Sridevi played the most relatable Indian mother on screens in the 2012 film English Vinglish. Making a comeback after a long time the actress won everyone's heart with her innocence in the film.
