Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna had begun shooting for their upcoming film Animal back in April. The film is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who made a splash with his debut film Arjun Reddy and followed it up with a bigger smash in the form of its Hindi remake, Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani.
It's worth noting that this is the first time Ranbir and Rashmika will share screen space together. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures are producing Animal.
Rashmika opened up in an interview with Filmfare about her experience of working with the Wake-Up Sid actor. She said, "He's a really kind person. Of course, I was worried when I first saw him, but I believe he's so laid-back that we were instantly quite comfortable with each other five minutes into the look test. It's remarkable how simple it's been so far with Ranbir and Sandeep, now that I think about it. And he's the only one in the profession who addresses me as "ma'am," which I despise. For this one, I'm going to get him."
The Pushpa actress also revealed that she has been having a blast working on Animal with Ranbir and the director Sandeep. She also called them the 'best.'
After a pooja ceremony, the film's shooting had commenced in Manali. As soon as Ranbir and Rashmika arrived in the hills, they were greeted with Himachali hats. According to reports, it is a pan-India initiative that would mostly be distributed in Hindi and South Indian languages. On August 11, 2023, Animal will be launched.
Apart from working with Ranbir, Rashmika will also make her Bollywood debut in the film Mission Majnu, which also stars Sidharth Malhotra and will be released in theatres on June 10, 2022. Following that, she has Goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta.
