Nora Fatehi issues statement on money laundering case through spokesperson

Seems to be a bad time for some celebrities out there as there are multiple controversies attached with multiple issues. After the Aryan Khan fiasco, actor and dancer, Nora Fatehi was recently summoned and interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate in a money extortion case, has now issued a fresh statement through her spokesperson in the same matter.

Asserting her cooperation in the ongoing probe with ED officials, the statement read, “To whomsoever it may concern. On behalf of Nora Fatehi, we would like to clarify the various conjectures floating around amongst the media. Nora Fatehi has been the victim around the case and being a witness, she is co-operating and helping the officers in the investigation. We would like to make it very clear that she has not been a part of any money laundering activity, she does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by ED to strictly help with the investigation.”

Along with Fatehi, it was also actress Jacqueline Fernandez who has been summoned in the same case again.

Reportedly, the agency is probing all possible angles in the money laundering case involving Sukesh Chandrashekar, an accused in a bribery matter. Previously, Sukesh and his wife were also interrogated.

ED has also stated that celebs from the Bollywood industry are also active participants in this case.

Meanwhile, Jacqueline Fernandez who was slated to appear before the officials today has skipped the interrogation on Friday citing personal reasons. Fresh summons has been filed once again by the ED to the actress for further investigation.

The case is based on an FIR filed by Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) against Sukesh and others over alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating, and extortion of about Rs 200 crore.
