Nicki Minaj to Judge RuPaul's Drag Race S12; Pledges Allegiance to Drag!

RuPaul's Drag Race is coming back with its 12th season and we can't wait for it. This season is said to raise the bars high. In an interview with EW, RuPaul revealed that “the best word to describe season 12 is ‘OVANESS!'” before teasing that “producers have come up with twisted, outrageous challenges that raise the bar for all competition of reality” and promising “truly legendary” guest judges. 

Nicki Minaj will make her debut at the RuPaul stage as a judge alongside longtime judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and RuPaul herself. The first look is out and the iconic singer looks gorgeous among the Emmy-winning reality show’s panellists.

Nicki has never made an appearance at the show before but she still shaped the show with season 10 competitor Monét X Change performing one of the most memorable lip-syncs to the rapper’s 2012 single “Pound the Alarm,” while Trinity K. Bonet previously portrayed Minaj during the season 6 Snatch Game celebrity impersonation challenge. 

“I pledge allegiance to the drag!” Minaj previously said in a promotional video announcing her Drag Race guest spot, which also teased her runway reactions — including particular praise for a contestant who looks “like a Barbie out of the box.”
