Nick Jonas opens up about nurturing Malti's upbringing with Biblical and Hindu influences

Celebrity power couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, who tied the knot in 2018, continue to cherish their unique multicultural journey. Their wedding was a grand affair, encompassing Hindu and Christian traditions, symbolizing the beautiful blend of their backgrounds. In January 2022, they were blessed with their first child, a baby girl named Malti Marie, born via surrogacy. Since then, the couple has been embracing the joys of parenthood with immense love and devotion.

In a recent appearance on the podcast channel Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Nick Jonas candidly spoke about the couple's distinct religious backgrounds and their aspirations for their daughter's upbringing. He expressed, 

"I have a deep and meaningful relationship with God, but God has taken many different shapes than what I just read in one book now. And marrying an Indian woman who is Hindu, I have learned so much about that religion and faith that it is so inspiring. We are raising a child who is gonna have elements of biblical principles and also from the Hindu faith."

Nick and Priyanka actively celebrate various festivals at their Los Angeles residence, including Diwali, Holi, and Thanksgiving. They joyously share glimpses of their festive celebrations on social media, engaging their followers and spreading cultural awareness.

Recently, the couple embarked on a special trip to Mumbai, marking their daughter Malti Marie's first visit to India since her birth. During their visit, Priyanka took her little one to seek blessings at the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai, cherishing a significant moment in their cultural heritage. 

Amidst their individual endeavors, Nick Jonas is currently engrossed in promoting his upcoming album with the Jonas Brothers, aptly titled The Album. Simultaneously, he made a special appearance in Priyanka's film Love Again, showcasing their unwavering support for each other's artistic ventures. On the other hand, Priyanka is currently busy shooting for her next film, Heads of State, in London, alongside esteemed actors John Cena and Idris Elba. She also has the highly anticipated project Jee Le Zaraa in the pipeline, which features co-stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
