Nibeditaa Paal on bagging Kuch Toh Hai, her favourite character Zoey and more

Nibeditaa Paal is currently seen in the supernatural show Kuch Toh Hai, and while the actress has been enjoying her character, she believes that her character from Class of 2020 is her ever so favourite. We got in touch with her where she spoke about it at length, the industry, and more.

Nibeditaa is really fond of her character Zoey as she said, "I think Zoey will always remain very special to me. She’s very close to my heart. I can relate to her in many ways. She’s kind-hearted, soft, sweet, and full of innocence and honesty. I truly enjoyed playing her!''

While coming into this industry, many actors take acting classes, so on being asked if she has taken any acting classes, she quips, ''I have done many acting workshops such as Neeraj Kabi, etc. Yes, they help to some extent but I feel the real learning happens on set or when you are making auditions, it’s good practice. But one good thing about doing a workshop is that it opens you up as an actor so you aren’t as shy around people." she replied.

If luck plays an important role while working in this industry, the actress feels it is always a mix. She says, "I would say luck along with hard work and talent go hand in hand. Yes, luck plays a major factor in an actor's life for sure! For instance, in Class of 2020, I had been roped in for a cameo initially but call it destiny that the actress who was to play the main lead Zoey had backed out, and I had been preparing for her character in the workshops so it happened by chance that I landed up with the role of Zoey, thanks to Vikas and our Director Aarambh sir who showed so much faith in me." 

She further shared her strengths and mentioned, "I would say my strength is the fact that I know my limitations and where I lack. So I know where I need to work extra hard on myself such as my diction. My strength is definitely the fact that I’m very hard working. I may not be the most talented or experienced in the room but I am the most hardworking for sure."

She also shared her story on choosing the show Kuch Toh Hai and her character, She said, "When this show came to me, I was quite excited about it because it was a Balaji show and sort of a spin-off for Naagin so I knew it was a meaty show and had a lot to offer. And I’ve always wanted to work with Balaji! And Roohi as a character is very bright and positive and quite bubbly, so it’s a fun character to play. To be very honest, in terms of appearance, me and Roohi are quite alike. I am also very family-oriented like her."
