New Nun on the block, Sofia Hayat, to be sued by a filmmaker!

Sofia Hayat made it to the headlines this year when she decided to become a Godwoman and decided to renounce worldly pleasures to become a Nun. Sofia even made it very clear that she was not returning to the world of glitz and glamour at all.

However, it looks like the former actress, who has been enjoying her spiritual phase until now will have to return back as she is being dragged into a controversy now. Sofia had last shot for a movie titled Six X, starring herself, Riya Sen, Neha Dhupia and Ashmit Patel. The film was to be released in the month of August. And it required some last minute patchwork. "Sofia has refused to co-operate with the makers to complete the film. She has also gone ahead and refused to promote the film as well," said a report in a leading daily.

This has not gone down well with the director of the film Chandrakant Singh and he therefore, went on to take legal action against Sofia. The director was quoted by the daily as saying,"We have been forced to hire a dubbing artist as Sofia has refused to dub the scene. Our calls and messages to Sofia have gone unanswered." The director also added that Sofia was fighting hard to see to it that the film is not released. "Since she is a foreign national, she is not registered with CINTAA and hence we can't pressurize her through the governing body.  

But Sofia, on the other hand, also had a valid explanation to give. She said, "I did the film over a year ago, so any contractual obligations are over." When she was quizzed about her not wanting the film to release, she said,"All this took place before my transformation so I don't want it to release. I'm not acting in movies anymore, so why should I dub or promote this film?"

Sofia also went on to add,"It is funny that this movie is all about the court trying to stop a book from releasing due to the presence of a strong woman in it and the sensual content. Now Chandrakant wants to take me to court for the opposite of what's happening in the film. Ironic, really!"
