Due to the on going Coronavirus pandemic, the entertainment industry is suffering heavy losses as the shoots are at halt. It was earlier reported that the popular Netflix and Amazon Prime shows including the likes of The Family Man 2, Made in Heaven 2 and Mirzapur 2 will have to undergo budget control.

However, the makers of these shows have denied such rumours. Raj Nidhimoru, co-director of The Family Man 2 says, "We’ve been getting calls and messages asking if we’ve been told to take pay cut for the Family Man 2. But we shot Season 2 before the lockdown when there was no question of a financial scaling-down. Now also after the lockdown we have not been asked to make any cuts in the budget for our forthcoming projects."

Pankaj Tripathi who essays the lead role in Mirzapur also stated that the season 2 of Mirzapur is complete and it has now gone into editing. "The shooting is over, what budget cuts?", he added.

A source close to Netflix stated that Netflix is not cutting budgets but they are re-examining the content control points in their organization in the light of the poor response to their original Indian content like Mrs. Serial Killer.
