Neither Deepika Padukone nor Jacqueline Fernandez; Kick 2 to Star a new face!

Ever since the announcement of Kick 2, rumors have been flying around the town about the leading lady of the movie. The first installment of the Kick franchise starred Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film was released 25th July 2014.

Soon Sajid announced the movie’s second installment saying he was aiming for a December 2019 release. However, there has been no official announcement yet and Dabangg 3 has taken over the slot. 

Reports say that the movie might now have an Eid 2021 release. And while rumors are doing the rounds that Deepika Padukone will be roped in for the sequel to Kick, it is not true! Jacqueline Fernandez will also not be a part of Kick 2. 

A source close to the development reveals, “Deepika Padukone being a part of Kick 2 is completely rubbish. The makers are yet to lock the script, only post that will be the turn to cast. In fact, from the outset, Sajid Nadiadwala was keen on a new face because of the fact that it is a completely new story. A fresh pairing would also appeal more to the audience.” 

Well, Salman Khan has given many celebrities their big Bollywood break. It will be interesting to see who would be the lucky lady to not only star opposite the Superstar but also work with the talented director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
