Neha Dhupia tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Angad Bedi in May 2018 and welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Mehr, in November in the same year.
Ever since the actress embraced parenthood, she has been an advocate of empowering mothers and the freedom to feed. She has launched an initiative to raise awareness about breastfeeding and the freedom to feed their babies without any hesitation.
On Monday, Neha shared a monochromatic picture of herself breastfeeding daughter Mehr. She gave out a crucial message as she posted the picture and publicly shamed a troll who made a nasty comment on a woman’s social media post.
Neha shared a screenshot of the troll’s comment asking the woman to post a breastfeeding video and the woman’s befitting reply. While sharing this, the actress post her own picture and penned a message. She wrote:
"The journey of a new mum is something only she can understand. While we all hear the happy side, it is also a huge responsibility and emotionally draining. It's hard enough to be a mum and do all that there is to do. The last thing we need is to be questioned, mocked and worst of all trolled. I went through the same beats and I know how hard it is."

Neha thanked the woman for calling out the user for making nasty comment and added further:
“A mother has her choice of how and where she chooses to feed or breastfeed her child. However, time and time again we see people looking at breastfeeding mothers in a sexual manner.”
“This insensitive comment is an example of why it makes it awkward for moms in our country. They must be called out. ... let's normalise breast feeding not sexualise it #stayhomestaysafe #freedomtofeed #maskon”
Back in 2019, Neha Dhupia had flagged her campaign ‘freedomtofeed’ wherein she sparks meaningful conversations about parenting and raising awareness.
