The countdown to one of the year's most anticipated Bollywood weddings has begun. The wedding of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is just a few days away. Their wedding is set for April 15, as we previously reported exclusively.
The preparations have already begun; their homes are lit up, and Ranbir's sister and her family have come in town. In the middle of it all, Neetu Kapoor tweeted a photo from her engagement day with Rishi Kapoor.
It's a black-and-white photograph of Rishi Kapoor holding Neetu Kapoor's hands as he places the ring on her finger. It is, indeed, a lovely recollection. The legendary actress captioned the monochromatic photo and wrote,
"Fond memories of Baisakhi day as we were engaged 43 years ago on 13th April 1979"
Riddhima, her daughter, used the comments section to put heart emoticons. Fans poured their hearts out in the comments section, calling them a "wonderful pair."
Fans keep wondering about the date being a mere coincidence or the duo had decided to match the dates with Ranbir's parents engagement date on purpose.
Meanwhile, the wedding festivities for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are set to begin today, according to reports. According to media reports, the couple would give their traditional Punjabi wedding a contemporary touch. Before their pheras, they will take vows. This is expected to be a private vow ceremony held just before their Hindu wedding.
