Nawazuddin Siddiqui says, OTT has turned into a business for producers

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been nominated for an International Emmy Award in the category of Best Performance by an Actor for his work in Sudhir Mishra's Netflix film Serious Men. However, the actor is worried about the future of OTT in India.

According to a tabloid interview, Nawazuddin, who was praised for his performance in Sacred Games, stated that streaming platforms are no longer producing engaging content. He stated that OTT began very well and opened new doors for filmmakers and actors in India and that the content on these platforms was quite different from what we see in cinemas, but that it is now losing its novelty. He went on to say that there is a lot of content being released, but the quality has been ruined.

Nawazuddin has appeared in several OTT films, including Serious Men, Raat Akeli Hai, and Ghoomketu. He commented on the fact that streaming platforms have now become a business. He claims that people have a habit of turning art into a business, and OTT has also become a profitable venture for production companies.

The actor, who is currently filming Heropanti 2 in London, is unhappy with the amount of content available on streaming platforms. He stated that the OTT platform helped him gain recognition but that people are now tired of seeing the same type of content. He concluded by stating that he is not working on any web series and is not interested in working on any OTT projects unless something validates his interest.
