Narayani Shastri first entered the entertainment industry through her debut in the television series "Kahani Saat Pheron Ki," swiftly captivating audiences' attention. Subsequently, she ascended to widespread recognition and became a familiar face in households across the nation with her memorable portrayal in Ekta Kapoor's iconic drama series, "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi."
In an exclusive conversation, Narayani shares insights on her show, her marriage, and her insane love for her pets.
You are one actor who has mainly kept to their work and has never been as PR expert. Why?
I have always been a little more private when I am concerned personally or professionally. Also, back then, the concept of a publicist was not huge as such, or maybe I was not aware as much. The circle was smaller, and I always believed that if anyone wants to know about me, they will call or connect directly.
With the current show, what's the one reason you took this character up?
My work is something I should believe in, though what I am doing right now is a little over the top. It was a need I felt to want to do a role such as "recode mein kaun tha " Type roles, hahaha. Who I play right now is an antagonist with all her crazy bits explored, so it was something I wanted to do.
What next from Narayanis Roster?
I have never ever planned anything. Ask me what's next, and I won't know, but I do know whatever it is will be worth every bit of my time and will be chosen and scripted for me.
I don't think marriage is everyone's cup of tea. It is a beautiful institution, and if done the right way, a partner can be like your parent who will always be there

You love pets, and you have quite a few of your own. How do you manage time for them?
When you love something, you do not need to manage time; time just works out, and I love them to death with everything. They go hand in hand. My husband is very supportive and is always there for me. I will always manage time for them no matter what.
Years into marriage now, how is it, and do you recommend it to all?
I don't think marriage is everyone's cup of tea. It is a beautiful institution, and if done the right way, a partner can be like your parent who will always be there. It's destiny, and the choice of the person is essential. The partner has to be worth it all. It works both ways. I live in the institution, but I do feel it's not for everyone.
Can we say that you are becoming a little PR expert now that you are here to stay?
I feel times are changing, and one needs to change with time. It has been created because there is a place for it, and it's the need of the hour. I feel today I want to try this bit out, and I go where my heart tells me. So, I am here and looking to connect a lot more with my well-wishers.
