Namit Das excels in his portrayal of Jawahar in Aarya - a Hotstar Specials Series!

Hotstar Specials in conjunction with RMF (Ram Madhvani Films) is set to launch Aarya – a story where organised crime is the daily family business and betrayal runs deep. The show features actor Sushmita Sen, Chandrachur Singh and an ensemble cast of talented actors Namit Das, Sikandar Kher, Jayant Kripalani, Sohaila Kapoor, Sugandha Garg, Maya Sareen, Vishwajeet Pradhan and Manish Chaudhary in pivotal roles. Directed by Ram Madhvani, Sandeep Modi and Vinod Rawat, Aarya is an official adaptation of popular Dutch crime-drama Penoza. The trailer launch of Hotstar Specials Aarya saw massive uproar amongst fans and celebrities across the country. 

Actor Namit Das, who plays the role of Jawahar - someone who is exactly opposite of Aarya. Speaking about his character, Namit Das says, “When I read the script, and I was told that I’m going to be playing Jawahar, I wondered how they cast me in this part - because this is unlike any role I have played in my life. Talking about the character of Jawahar, I think he is the opposite of what Aarya stands for, that made it really exciting for me. Jawahar is an outsider, he is trying to be part of that family all the time - he invariably finds himself in situations where he moves the story ahead. I just want to thank everyone for the lovely times we had creating this. ”

The world of Hotstar Specials show Aarya starts with a loving wife & doting mother (Aarya), her reluctance to be involved in the illegal narcotics family business; whose life is suddenly turned upside down, her family is threatened and, in the quest to protect them she is forced to become the very person she always avoided. She realizes that to protect her family from criminals, she herself needs to become one!
