Actor Naman Shaw, who is currently receiving appreciation for his portrayal of the flawed Adit Saxena in Mangal Lakshmi, recently took a short break from his busy schedule and headed to the Maldives with his family and friends. The actor has now returned to work and shared how the vacation helped him recharge before getting back to the sets of the show.
Naman revealed that the trip was planned according to his shooting schedule. With only a few days available before his next shoot, the Maldives became the perfect destination for a quick escape.
Speaking about the holiday, Naman said, “We planned it a month ago for the kids’ holiday. With only four days before my next shoot, Maldives was the fastest way to truly switch off.”
The actor travelled with his wife, his son Krivaan, and two other families who are also parents of his son’s school friends. The trip turned into a fun family vacation filled with beach time and relaxation. With three families and three children travelling together, the holiday offered a welcome break from their everyday routines.
Stepping away actually helps. When you play a role every day, you can get stuck. A short break lets you come back with fresh energy and sometimes even find new sides to the character.

A Short Break That Helped Him Return With Fresh Energy
While many actors remain deeply connected to their characters because of continuous shooting schedules, Naman believes that taking a short break actually helps improve his performance.
Talking about returning to work after the vacation, he shared, “Stepping away actually helps. When you play a role every day, you can get stuck. A short break lets you come back with fresh energy and sometimes even find new sides to the character. The first day back needs a little adjusting, but then it feels natural.”
According to the actor, spending some time away from the set allows him to return with a fresh perspective. It also helps him explore different dimensions of the character he portrays on screen.
Naman currently plays Adit Saxena in Mangal Lakshmi, a character that has gained attention for its layered personality and flaws. The actor has been praised for bringing depth to the role, making it one of the notable characters in the ongoing storyline.
Like many television actors, Naman also finds it difficult to completely disconnect from work. Despite being on vacation, he still had a few professional commitments to handle.
Speaking about staying away from work during the trip, he said, “I tried to disconnect, but in this job that’s tough. I had a few scenes to dub, but I kept work talk to a minimum and focused on the break.”
Although he managed some work-related responsibilities, Naman ensured that most of his time was spent enjoying the holiday with his loved ones.
From Television’s Chocolate Boy To Playing Layered Characters
Naman Shaw has been a part of the Hindi television industry for nearly two decades. He first gained recognition in 2004 after appearing on India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj. Over the years, he became known for playing charming lead roles and earned the image of a television “chocolate boy.”
The actor was seen in several popular shows including Kasamh Se, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kairi – Rishta Khatta Meetha, and Tashan-e-Ishq.
As his career progressed, Naman moved beyond traditional lead roles and began taking on more layered and complex characters. His current role as Adit Saxena reflects that transition, showcasing a different side of his acting abilities.
Apart from acting, Naman has also explored work behind the camera through production-related projects. His journey in the entertainment industry has seen him evolve from a romantic lead to an actor comfortable portraying grey and challenging characters.
Following his brief Maldives vacation, Naman is now back on the sets of Mangal Lakshmi. Refreshed from the break and ready to resume work, the actor is looking forward to exploring the next phase of Adit Saxena’s journey on screen.
For now, the short getaway appears to have provided exactly what Naman needed — quality time with family, a chance to recharge, and renewed energy as he continues entertaining audiences with his performance in Mangal Lakshmi.
