Nakuul Mehta bids Farewell to Ishqbaaaz; Pens a Heartfelt message!

As we already reported, Star Plus' Ishqbaaaz - Pyaar Ki Ek Dhinchak Kahaani will go off-air from 15 March. Now, actor Nakuul Mehta who has been an integral part of the show since its inception, penned a heartfelt note as the show is going off-air.

He took to his instagram handle and wrote, "3 years. Over 750 Episodes. Over 1000 shifts. 99999 litres of sweat & blood (Subtle exaggeration). And Infinite love. Last two weeks of Ishqbaaaz until we air our finale episode on 15th March. It's difficult to contain the myriad of emotion running inside of me and yet words elude me. If I was to ask the lad in the picture, circa 2015 (at the pilot shoot of IB) if the journey was everything he had imagined, he'd reply with an even more emphatic smile, today.

I take the liberty to say this on behalf of the entire cast & crew, that we gave it our all. There were no half measures. We tried, we did, we failed, we succeeded. There were hard days, and then there were great days but the greatest of 'em all was to just be on set each day doing what we all loved doing.

All I feel right now is overwhelming gratitude for all the lives who collaborated on this epic journey and the ones embraced this as your own. (Read: all of 'you', my gangsta's)

It's our last one week filming on the sets of Ishqbaaaz and I can't wait to celebrate each of these with the rest of you, my partners on this journey. #IshqbaaazForever."

It was just a month back when the show took a generation leap and roped in new actors. Initially, newbie Manjiri Pupala was roped in as the female lead. However, the viewers were still not over Surbhi Chandna's character and so, Manjiri was replaced by actress Niti Taylor. But still the show failed to win the audience post leap and now, the makers have to pull the plug off.

Finally, after destroying everything related to Ishqbaaaz and shivika...show is going off air...for many, show has ended long back...sympathy is what I want to offer to Mr. Nakuul Mehta for his poor judgement and arrogance.

I think most actresses need to read a book on what feminism is, no it is not sexist by making the ad focused on women. Women are the oppressed class and have the right to fight for WOMENS rights, and do not have to burden themselves also fighting for the rights of men, although feminist already do through highlighting sexism towards men and male roles that men are subjected to in their work. All the onus is NOT on the women to yet do the work for men as well. The ad was not sexist. By fighting one is not degrading men but continuing to highlight issues amongst the oppressed class, whose issues are already invisiblized, making womens issues visible does not automatically mean invisibilizing issues of men which are already at the forefront of society. It simply making visible what is not readily visible.<br/>HOWEVER there are problems with Deepika's video by acknowledging for many women the idea of "choice" is based upon so many social factors and choice is not just simply choosing without hurdles for many women.<br/>AND the video was not sexist for simply highlighting choices that are not easily afforded to women but so easily to men.

Well said...Women Empowerment is truly more then your choice of clothes, your sexual preferences etc...Its about making Men and women too recognizing Women as Human Beings.
