My onscreen mother Gurvinder Gauri has unofficially adopted me: Ankit Gupta aka Fateh of ‘Udaariyaan’

Colors’ show ‘Udaariyaan’ is getting the love of the viewers. The show has come to a major high point as Tejo has finally learned the truth regarding Jasmine and Fateh’s fake marriage. The current track revolves around Fateh trying to improve himself and become worthy of Tejo while she has planned to return to Moga.

For almost a month, the track of the show revolved around Fateh and Tejo leaving Moga and starting their separate lives in Gurdaspur and Rampur. The track revolved solely upon a bunch of characters including Tejo, Fateh, Angad and Jasmine. The actors shot entirely at a different location. And now, as the track comes to an end, the actors are back on their original sets.

India Forums got in touch with Ankit Gupta who plays the character of Fateh in the show and asked him about his thoughts on reuniting with his onscreen family after a substantial gap, the actor said, “Well, I think, it was for the first time since the start of the show that we were away from our usual sets for this long. It may sound clichéd but since we’re all staying in Chandigarh, everyone has become more like a family and I did miss them. I missed my on-screen mother played by actress Gurvinder Gauri the most. I missed her hand made food the most. Apart from bringing food for me daily, she also makes sure to get deserts. I love the gajar ka halwa that she makes. She will bring ‘saag’ for me today and I can’t wait to hog on it. We share a great bond and I feel like she has unofficially adopted me (laughs)”.

Talking about shooting at a different location, Gupta said, “It was difficult, to say the least. It was extremely cold and we mostly had night shifts when it was colder. The temperatures would drop down to 3 to 4 degrees. I am happy to be back on the sets as it’s not that cold here”.
