‘My name is not directly involved, my father is the trustee of the organisation’ clarifies Kiku Sharda

Recently the media has reported about Kiku Sharda to be found himself in the midst of a legal controversy. He is allegedly being accused for a cheating case by the art director, Nitin Kulkarni. Six people including Kiku were accused by Nitin for a cheating case of Rs. 50.70 lakhs from the charitable trust, The Mumbai Fest. 

According to the reports,  art director Nitin Kulkarni who filed a complaint at Amboli Police station designed a set for a three day fest at the MMRDA ground in BKC last year. However, he did not receive any legal agreement from the trust and was not paid the full amount as mentioned which was Rs. 50.70 lakhs. Nitin also stated that the check given to him bounced. 

However, when India Forums asked Kiku about the case, the Indian comedian clarified saying that, “I have no direct involvement in the case. I don't know why my name is been used. My father is the trustee of the organisation with five other people. And the matter is that my father is handling the whole thing.”

Kiku Sharda is currently seen in Sony TV’s ‘The Kapil Sharma Show season 2’ in the role of Bachcha Yadav.
