"My father is my backbone" - Smriti Kalra, as she walks the red carpet of LFW with her father

Actress Smriti Kalra was recently spotted at the red carpet of Lakme Fashion Week wearing a gorgeous outfit from Samant Chauhan's - The Nomad Bride collection. The actress looked absolutely gorgeous on the red carpet, giving us a glimpse of her glamorous avatar. This moment was very special when she walked the red carpet with her dad, Sudhir Kumar Kalra who is a retired General from the Indian Army. 

It was probably the first time ever in the history of LFW where something like this happened. This not only created an impression on the onlookers but also became a major media talk point for the day. Actress Smriti Kalra has always taken up roles portraying strong characters, which has highlighted her performances but has never given us a glimpse into her glamorous side. Not many know that Smriti is a fashionista at heart and she has her say in all the outfits that she publicly wears. Her recent LFW visit has definitely given her fans and followers a reason to rejoice. 

Speaking about it Smriti says "My father is my backbone. He does not tell me how to live my life, he has lived his with integrity and I have learnt watching him though he does remind me of the ABC of life - Ability.Breaks. Courage. She also adds that " I'm attending the red carpet for LFW this year wearing designer Samant Chauhan's - The Nomad Bride collection, which he has designed for strong and powerful women.  So I wanted to hold my father's hand and stand beside him as he is a powerhouse behind my mother and I. In life, when he didn't have my hand, he always had my back.”

Smriti Kalra in the past has entertained us with some very popular shows like "Dil Sambhal Ja Zara", Suvreen Guggal and more. She recently also made her film debut with Cash on Disney + Hotstar.
