Music 'n' Masti - Bollywood Top 10 (Week of 8th Mar '10)

Check out this week's top 10 Bollywood chartbusters!

Welcome to another Music 'N' Masti as we take a look at the top 10 songs that have made their mark in Bollywood this week.

10. Dil to Bachcha Hai

Film: Ishqiya
Singers: Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
Music: Vishal Bharadwaj
Don't let the title fool you! A soothing track with lovely lyrics that remind us of the simplicity of love.

9. Meri Aashaon Ki

Film: Right Yaa Wrong
Singers: Amitraj
Composer: Monty Sharma
From an otherwise unimpressive soundtrack, this melodious romantic track is like a breath of fresh air. Despite the slow-pace, newcomer Amitraj has done an applaudable job and the track soon grows on the listener.

8. Neeyat Kharab Hain

Film: Teen Patti
Singers: Sunidhi Chauhan
Music: Salim-Sulaiman
A genre which we don't always come across in Bollywood. However this cabaret song has easy to follow lyrics, a foot tapping beat and vocals by Sunidhi Chauhan that places it in a completely different league.

7. Cham Cham Jaani Rate

Film: Striker
Singers: Sonu Nigam
Music: Blaaze
Sonu Nigam may be picking his work nowadays but Cham Cham is definitely one of his best.

6. Jyoti Jalaile

Film: Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge
Singers: Sukhwinder Singh
A devotional song inspired by Bipasha's Beedi Jalaile? Apparently so. The light-hearted feel of the movie seeps in to the semi-serious soundtrack which is littered with either humorous or devotional songs. Jyoti Jalaile fills both criterias and will probably the only song you remember after leaving the theatre.

5. Aameen Suma Aameen

Film: Click
Singers: Master Saleem, Shamir Tandon
As a composer Tandon improves with each track and Aameen is one of the best tracks on the album.

4. Oh Mere Khuda

Film: Prince
Singers: Atif Aslam, Garima Jhingon
Music: Sachin Gupta
The lyrics are hardly awe-inspiring, and yet the catchy tune has caught on with the crowd. Atif Aslam and Garima Jhingon do a commendable job whilst Gupta plays a major part in helping this track climb rapidly up the charts.

3. Sajda

Film: My Name Is Khan
Singers: Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shankar Mahadevan, Richa Sharma
Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy
MNIK's Sajda refuses to budge from the charts. An intoxicating rhythm, memorable lyrics and quality voices.

2. Uff Teri Ada

Film: Karthik Calling Karthik
Singers: Alyssa Mendonsa, Shankar Mahadevan
Music: Ehsaan Loy, Punditz
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's quirky composition knocks the others out of the camp! Alyssa Mendonsa's wispy vocals coupled with the funky beat are just what you need to get your feet moving!

1. Ajnabi Hawaayein Bekrara Bahein

Film: Shaapit
Singers: Shreya Ghoshal
Vikram's Bhatt upcoming thriller Shaapit STAYS number 1 in our charts with a gem of a composition from Chirantan Bhatt, soulful lyrics from Sameer and of course, Shreya Ghoshal lending her lilting voice to another strong track!
