Munmun Dutta aka Babita is not quitting 'TMKOC' confirms production house

Sab TV's longrunner Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently saw a huge turn of events where majority of the show's ensemble cast rejoined the other actors and began shooting for the show. However, there were still a few faces missing from the same which included the likes of Jennifer Bansiwal aka Roshan and Munmun Dutta aka Babitaji.

While Bansiwal has already rejoined the shoot, Dutta's status of rejoining the show is still a question. There were rumors a while ago that she has apparently quit the show owing to being embroiled in a controversy of using a casteist slur.

But these rumors can be put to rest as it can be confirmed that she has not quit the show. The production house has confirmed that Dutta hasn't quit and is still very much a part of the show. 

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producers Neela Film Productions Pvt. Ltd owned by Asitt Kumar Modi gave a statement to TOI and confirmed that Munmun is not quitting the show. They said, “Munmun Dutta continues to remain part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Babita Ji. Any rumors about her quitting the show are baseless and incorrect."
