In today's world everyone is looking for shortcuts and easy way. However, we all forget that whatever comes easy, goes even easier. Here is a comedy thriller film; subtly conveying a message there is no shortcut to success.
'Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene' is a story of Prithvi Khurana (Zayed Khan), a hard working guy who does everything with sharafat (in an ideal way). Prithvi is a working-class innocent Delhite who counts and calculates every penny he spends and is madly in love with Megha (Tena Desae). The complete opposite of Prithvi is his roommate, Sam (Rannvijay Singh). Happy with his routine life, suddenly Prithvi discovers that his bank account balance has reached to Rs. 100 cr from Rs. 5700 only. And this is what makes Prithvi's life go on a topsy-turvy ride.
Zayed Khan as a nerdy Delhite keeps the performance bridled and likeable. Rannvijay as the insignificant other is delightfully droll. Tena looked pretty and played her part well. Anupam Kher, just like his other films, is great.
Well talking about the music, unlike other Bollywood films there are no romantic numbers shot at some picture perfect location and that is a definitely a good thing. Songs played in background are apt and will not divert the audience from the main story line.
All in all, the film is certainly a onetime watch, that might not make you laugh throughout but will surely entertain you. It is a saucy comedy about a commoner with some original smile-inducing moments. The film has taken the theme of greed and covetousness and turned it into a pleasant satire.
