Mona Wasu completes 10 years in the industry with an entry in films!

Getting ready for the release of her first film Maazi, Mona Wasu gears up for more such roles!

She is choosy when it comes to deciding on the role and serial that she will be seen in and that is the reason that despite being around for 10 years in the entertainment industry Mona Wasu is seen in selective shows. While the bubbly and vivacious Mona Wasu started as a host of Star Gold's travel show Operation Gold in 2003, she gained popularity with Vinta Nanda's show Milee on Star Plus. Mona is also remembered for her roles in Radhaa ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi and her last TV outing was Balaji's Parichay Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka on Colors. The gifted actor has also been the winner of the TV reality show Iss Jungle se Mujhe Bachao on Sony TV.

However, today is a big day for the actor who is geared up for the trial of her first film Maazi (meaning 'Past'). Produced by Jaideep Chopra, Maazi is a thriller with Mona Wasu and Sumit Nijhawan in the lead roles. While Sumit has earlier done films like Contract, Sarkar Raj, Jannat 2 it is Mona Wasu's film debut.

Even as she got ready to go for the first trial this afternoon for her film Maazi, Mona sounded excited as she revealed, "Yes, Maazi is my first film and today is the first trial. It is a small budget film with mostly new actors in the making, but the film has great music and concept. It is a good film and should release by the end of September."

Shot in locations like Dehradun, Mussorie, and Danaulti, Maazi has 6 important characters around which the film revolves. The dramatic thriller has shades of violence and blood-shed which are an integral part of the unpredictable and gripping storyline.

With small budgets films too garnering plenty of attention these days, we wish Mona all the good luck to make it big in the world of films too!
