One of the most awaited series Kehne ko Humsafar Hain Season 3 is all set to premiere on ALTBalaji and ZEE5 on 6th June. The show stars Ronit Roy, Mona Singh and Gurdeep Kohli (Gurdip Punjj) in the lead roles and depicts the complex yet beautiful relationship between Ananya and Rohit.

We at India Forums got in touch with Mona Singh who portrays the role of Ananya in the show and she spoke to us about her experience, character, challenges faced, her favourite scene and much more.

First of all, I wanted to ask you how was the shooting experience for Kehne ko Humsafar Hain Season 3 and how different was it from the previous seasons?

The storyline has twisted around completely, it is a new Ananya that you'll get to see in season 3 who's a very strong woman, who doesn't believe in love anymore. She has moved on, she has a son who's 3 years old. I love shooting so it's always fun on sets. It was hectic, we were shooting around the clock non-stop but it was fun.

You have also mentioned in an interview that you were changing costumes for 25-30 times in a day, so what was that experience like?

I've done that before also on Television so it was nothing new but yes, it does get very tiring. But I enjoy it because it's a beautiful show and it's very close to my heart.

What are the different sides of Ananya that we'll get to see in season 3?

She's a different person all together who doesn't believe in love anymore. She has moved on, she has a son and then the toxicity that she goes through with Rohit when she meets him for the first time, everything that unfolds, all the pent up emotions that come out is what people will get to see between Rohit and Ananya.

What was the most challenging part of shooting this season?

The most challenging was this whole new phase of Ananya, who doesn't feel love for Rohit anymore, till the time she bumps into him accidentally and realises what she actually feels for him. There was a very heavy topic which needed to be talked about with Rohit. She doesn't want the Mehra surname attached to her name anymore or her son's name. So  you will see a very strong independent, strong headed Ananya. It was difficult because I'm not that kind of a person but then when you are playing a character which is so strong, bold and emotionally not available, you got to be truthful to the imaginary circumstances you're under.

Since you had already shot for the first two seasons, how did the bonding evolve between your co-actors for this season?

It was the same. It's like a party when we all meet together now because we've been shooting for three years non-stop. Ofcourse, we meet in seasons only but it is a lot of fun, I do enjoy a lot with Gurdip, Ronit and Suchitra, we all have fun. Specially if it's a marriage scene or a family scene when the entire cast is together and the director was completely mad shouting, 'Silence, Silence, Stop Talking'. So it is fun.

Since you mentioned about the marriage scene, so what was your favourite scene from the entire series?

My favorite scene is definitely the one where Ananya and Rohit bump into each other. Then, also when Rohit barges into Anaya's private party where Anaya has not invited him, that was one of the best scenes for me. The way Rohit and Ananya fight and deal with the situation that they are in.

Lastly, going down the memory lane, do you recall the first time when you were approached for this series and what was your reaction like then?

I was pleasantly surprised because normally actors do get typecast playing a certain kind of a role or looking a certain kind of way. I was very happy to be offered Ananya's role, I was told that she is this simple, independent girl just like all of us are. Who happens to fall in love with a married man, there are no grey shades, no villain, she is no home breaker. I love this whole storyline about Ananya because usually what happens is when such shows are made for TV, the other woman is always the other woman, who's the vamp, planning & plotting, so that is not the thing with Kehne ko Humsafar Hain. I was very surprised to hear the story and I immediately jumped at it and said yes.
