Mohammad Nazim on Bahu Begum: Negative Characters Lets You Test Your Graph as an Actor!

The Indian Television is currently witnessing a plethora of new shows coming on air for the audience, while some shows are still under the pipeline. After a successful launch of Choti Sarrdaarni, Colors is currently gearing up for the launch for Bahu Begum, a romantic drama. The show will feature actors Arjit Taneja, Samiksha Jaiswal, Daina Khan, Mohammad Nazim, Rehaan Roy and Amrapali Gupta in the lead roles. 

Recently, we did a quick interaction with Mohammad Nazim about the show. 

Speaking about his character, he said, “I am playing a negative role in the show. My character name is Nawab Asgar Khan. Surprisingly, I am playing a father to Arjit and Rehaan and this was little hard to digest for me in the beginning. This role is a very different. On TV there are several similar characters, as in every show has a brother, husband, sister-in-law, etc. But negative characters lets you test your graph as an actor. People say, once you do negative on TV then you don’t get work but this is wrong, if you do your work properly, people are going to love you.”

“Asgar’s elder brother was a Nawab and now he has gone so he wants to become one, so the show is how he gets his way through,” adds Nazim.

He further mentioned, “I have developed a style for my character and you will get to see in the show. Urdu has a special role to play in the language and it has a way in which it has to be said, so we have worked on that.”

Nazim concluded by giving a message for his fans, he said, “To all my fans, please shower your love on this show just as you have done on all my previous shows.”

Mohammad Nazim rose to fame with Star Plus’ popular show, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and was also seen in an important role in Colors’ Udaan and Roop: Mard Ka Naya Swaroop.
