Migrant Woman Names Newborn Son ‘Sonu Sood Srivastava’ after He Helped Pregnant Woman Reach Village

There is no stopping for actor Sonu Sood who has pledged to send back migrant workers stranded in Maharashtra back home. The actor has been actively arranging for buses and travel facilities to help the workers stranded in different parts of Maharashtra to travel back home amid the Coronavirus lockdown.

Sonu has also been receiving thousands of requests on Twitter for help and he is leaving no stone unturned in helping the needy and sending them back home safely. A few days ago, Sonu helped a pregnant migrant woman reach her village safely, and in return, the woman named her newborn son after the actor.

Yes, the migrant woman gave birth to a son and decided to name her child after the actor. Sonu revealed the same in an interview with Anupama Chopra. He said the family of the woman called him and said she has named the baby Sonu Sood. When he asked them how they could give their son a different surname, he was told the child would bear the actor’s surname as his middle name.

 “I said, how can it be Sonu Sood as you are Shrivastav. It could probably be Sonu Shrivastav, but she said, ‘Nahi humney bachche ka naam Sonu Sood Shrivastav rakha hai.’ That was so sweet; I was touched.”

It’s only right to say that Sonu deserves all this love and respect coming his way as he has been winning hearts with his thoughtful gesture and helping hand to the migrant workers.

Besides, the actor has now gone an extra mile and airlifted 177 girls who have been stuck in Ernakulam, Kerala amid the nationwide lockdown. As per a report in Times of India, these girls have been doing the stitching and embroidery work at a local factory and were left with no work and nowhere to go after the factory was closed down due to COVID-19.

A source close to the actor informed, “Sonu was informed about the same by a close friend from Bhubaneswar and he decided to take charge of the situation and do his best for the girls. He started the process by taking several permissions from the government to have Kochi and Bhubaneswar airport to be operated. A special aircraft has been called from Bangalore to airlift these girls from Kochi who will be now taken to Bhubaneswar so they can finally reunite with their families. The duration from Bhubaneswar to their village is going to be 2 hours and soon after finishing their journey, the girls will be heading back home.”
