'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi' Stills Wrongly Used as Kashmiri Journalist Beaten By Indian Army

An important scene from the series was wrongly used as Kashmiri journalist being beaten by officials.

As many perks as social media have, one of the most unfortunate things about the same is sharing what should only be facts. Just like anyone, you would have come across several posts on a daily basis that claims to be about a particular incident happened in a particular city which is apparently 'shocking.' This, however, doesn't have any authenticity and turn out to be rumors and nothing else.

On a similar note, a recent post shared by a user on Twitter was the perfect example of how unauthentic posts lead to unwanted propaganda and nothing else. The user went on to share some images claiming that "Lat night Indian army arrested Kashmiri journalist Fahad bhat from his home. Now they are torturing him. World has time for amazon forests but not for kashmiri peoples.why ?"-

However, that obviously wasn't the case as these still were in fact from the popular TV show, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi starring Shakti Arora and Radhika Madan. The stills show Shakti's character Ranveer being beaten up by cops in a pivotal moment on the show.

Needless to say, the user was corrected and mocked for his carelessness of putting up a tweet without authenticity-

Just one of the instances on how there should a genuine check of facts before anything is said to have happened.
