Mere Husband Ki Biwi Box Office Day 3: Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar's Film Collects THIS Much in First Weekend

Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh’s romantic comedy Mere Husband Ki Biwi hit theatres this Friday. The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, had a slow start at the box office but has managed to maintain a steady pace over the weekend.

According to trade reports, the film opened with ?1.3 crore on its first day. Despite receiving a mixed-to-positive response from the audience, it witnessed slight growth on Saturday, earning ?1.7 crore. On Sunday, the film collected ?1.03 crore, taking its total weekend earnings to ?4.23 crore.

While the film’s performance has been decent, it faces strong competition from Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna. The historical drama, which has been a massive hit since its release, continues its dominance at the box office. On its second Sunday, Chhaava raked in ?36.68 crore, bringing its total to a whopping ?323.43 crore.

Director Mudassar Aziz spoke about the film’s clash with Chhaava and shared his thoughts with Bollywood Hungama. He said, "Sir, ‘Mera paigham mohabbat hai, jahan tak pahunche!’ What the film does in the presence or absence of Chhaava isn’t in my control. Putting my best foot forward to entertain people is the only thing that is in my control. I will always appeal to my families, my women audience, my humour lovers, and leave the rest to the Almighty."

Mere Husband Ki Biwi is a fun-filled romantic comedy that follows the life of a Delhi-based professional, played by Arjun Kapoor. His world turns upside down when his ex-wife, played by Bhumi Pednekar, unexpectedly returns just as he starts falling for a new woman, portrayed by Rakul Preet Singh. This love triangle leads to a series of hilarious situations.
