Melanie Pais bags the role of Kashi post leap..

The grownup Kashi in the Imagine and Film Farm show will now be played by Melanie Pais, who was earlier seen in Hans Baliye..

Imagine's Kashi.. Ab Na Rahe Tere Kaagaz Khora produced by Film Farm will be taking a generation leap very soon!!

Recently, the show witnessed a high point wherein the little Kashi (Jannat) befriended the rich girl Byjayanti (Nethra Kapoor). A friendship between the two girls and Shaurya was also shown.

As per our source, "The hunt to find the grown up Kashi has finally ended, as Melanie Pais has been finalized for the title role, post the natural progression".

Melanie Pais happens to be the younger sister of Melissa Pais who is presently seen in SAB TV's Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo. Melanie has earlier been part of Rajshri Productions' Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki. She was also seen as a contestant in Star One's stand up comedy show Hans Baliye, where she partnered Srikant Maski.

According to our source, "Melanie has given her look test and is finalized to play the role of Kashi. A young lad by name Neeraj who was seen in a cameo role in the initial part of Na Aana Is Desh Laado will be playing the role of Shaurya".

The hunt for Byjayanti is still on. "Sreejita De who is now part of the revamped Miley Jab Hum Tum on Star One had almost bagged the role of Byjayanti. But the actress chose to do the youth based show instead", states our source.

We tried calling Melanie Pais, but she remained unavailable.

We also tried calling Producer Pintoo Guha, but he too remained unavailable for comment.

Definitely kashi is a good show…and its gonna be challenge for any actress to take on the show on her shoulders after the lil girl…but I believe that directors and producers do know well that the USP of the show is the story and the idea, and what it appeals to fans/audiences like us…m sure they will retain the essence of the show…ppl who have seen new girl Melanie earlier might agree to me that she has got a lot of raw potential…so I would be eagerly waiting to see what she has to offer rather than declaring the fate of the show even before the leap :)

well looks to be that the new character of kashi(melanie pais) is gonna be really interesting just waiting 2 see the show have seen her work before and im sure to see a great performance from the new kashi wish her all the very best.....n i dont think that ppl should judge something even before it has come on air....
