Mehr visits Golden Temple with parents Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi!

Bollywood actors Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi took their little munchkin Mehr to Golden Temple to seek the blessings of the almighty as she turned 1 on 18th November. While the proud parents had taken to their official social media handle to share their gratitude towards the lord for blessing them with Mehr, Neha and Angad recently visited the Golden Temple, Amritsar and shared some pictures from their trip.

A few months back the 38-year-old actress launched an online campaign ‘#FreedomToFeed’, which focuses on breastfeeding awareness. During an interview with Zoom, Neha had openly talked about the difficulties she experienced while feeding Mehr. 

While sharing an instance from her life where she had to breastfeed baby Bedi behind a tree when she had an outdoor shoot, she revealed, “The stigma around the subject comes from the lack of facilities. Once when we were on an outdoor shoot, I had to go behind a tree to feed Mehr. The facility of nursing rooms should be made mandatory in public spaces. Often, mums quit breastfeeding soon after giving birth because they have to go to work. I would feed Mehr onset and fortunately, everyone around was so understanding.”

She had also shared that the next step of her campaign was to spread awareness amongst the fathers. She said, "The next step is to reach out to fathers and hear their perspective. Eventually, there needs to be a change in mindset that makes women feel free to feed when they want and how they want."
