Mantra to feature in ZEE5’s next - ‘Phone a Friend’

After popular series Never Kiss Your Best Friend starring Nakkul Mehta and hard-hitting and thrilling shows and movies like Kaafir, Barot House, Bombers and Posham Pa. Now, the platform is gearing up for another web series.

Already reported in the media about ZEE5 rolling out a new romcom based web-series titled ‘Phone a Friend’. Akhlaque Khan, who is known for his stint in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2 and Na Aana Is Desh Laado and actress Swati Kapoor, who is currently part Kundali Bhagya, are playing the leads in the show.

The latest we hear is that the makers have roped in Mantra to play one of the important role. He will be seen as the Narrator of the series. Mantra will also be seen in Zee5 another series titled Casino. 

Phone a Friend is a 12-episode web-show revolves around a boy (Akhlaque) who will eventually come across a mobile phone which can talk and it will give him tips on impressing a girl (Swati).  The series is directed by Yash and Allyson, produced by Utopia films and co-produced by Anish N Surana, Ashish and Surabhi Mittal.
