Manoj Bajpayee-Fatima Sana Shaikh-Diljit Dosanjh starrer Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari gets a theater release!

Manoj Bajpayee, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Diljit Dosanjh are all set to amaze the audience with their performances in Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. 

The theaters are all set to be opened with 50 percent capacity from today in Maharashtra after the 8-month long break. Maha Government has finally announced an unlock of theatres following SOPs outside the containment zone.

Meanwhile, the makers of Suraj Par Mangal Bhari have become amongst the first few films to announce the release of their upcoming film.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, no eatables will be allowed inside and Cultural Affairs Department will issue the SOPs of the same. Well, this has surely come as a sigh of relief for exhibitors and producers as Maharashtra is the only state to contribute 40 percent to the box office collections. Zee Studios’ Shariq Patel confirmed the same during his interaction with Mumbai Mirror. 

The report quoted him saying, “Discussions are on with multiplexes, we need to be on the same page on VPF charges, OTT release window, showcasing, and revenue sharing model of box office collections, but I’m not thinking of a digital release at the moment. We have to support our fraternity but we need a longer run for every film as footfalls will be lower.”

Shariq further mentioned that there’s also a financial risk as they will be missing big markets like UK and Canada, for a Diljit starrer. He added, “I’m hopeful of a Diwali release.”

For the uninitiated, no eatables will be allowed inside and Cultural Affairs Department will issue the SOPs of the same. 

Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’s trailer was released last week to warm fan reaction. Considering the hot topic raging all over Bollywood and the internet, some even took to the comments section to champion the film for being complete ‘nepotism free’.

Produced by Zee Studios, the Abhishek Sharma movie is headlined by Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film's highlight so far has been the scintillating number Basanti but the album comprises 7 unique tracks namely- Waareya, Ladki Dramebaaz Hai, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari Title Track, Bad Boys, and Dauda Dauda.
