It seems that talking about actor Kangana Ranaut being in the news for right reasons is actually jinxed where we just mentioned yesterday and now, there was another piece of news that she would not hae liked to be a part of.

It was initially revealed that Ranaut will be teaming up with filmmaker Kamal Jain for  Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda. However, Ashish Kaul who is the author of Didda-Kashmir Ki Yodha Rani is taken by surprise after hearing this announcement. Kaul has also claimed to be having the sole copyright of the biography.

As per a report by TOI, Kaul had approached Ranaut earlier to write a foreword for the Hindi version of the book and sent an email regarding this to her on September 11, 2020. He also stated that the entire life story of the queen was also appended in the same.He further said that Ranaut has committed an intellectual fraud, knowingly or unknowingly.

Now, in a recent interaction with ABP, Jain claimed that Manikarnika Returns  is not related to Ashish Kaul’s book. He stated, “This story is 1000 year old and is available in the public domain. It is wrong to claim that our movie is based on Kaul’s book. The movie has no connection with the book. When a story is this old and is available in the public domain, then anyone can make a movie on it. Speaking about Ashish Kaul’s book, I have not even heard of the book, let alone reading it. Besides, one can google about Didda and there is ample information available about her. Our movie is not inspired by Kaul’s book at all.”
