Mammootty overjoyed at his two films in Indian Panorama

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 16 (IANS) Malayalam superstar Mammootty was overjoyed Tuesday as two of his films made it to the Indian Panorama section at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI)- 2007 to be held in Goa next month.

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 16 (IANS) Malayalam superstar Mammootty was overjoyed Tuesday as two of his films made it to the Indian Panorama section at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI)- 2007 to be held in Goa next month.

'I'm really excited and I have always believed that hard work will earn its rewards. And the real icing on the cake is that my film 'Ore Kadal' has been selected as the opening film of the festival,' Mammootty told IANS.

'Ore Kadal' has been directed by Shyamaprasad and also has Meera Jasmine and Naren in the cast.

The other film of the veteran actor that has been selected for the Indian Panorama category is director Renjith's 'Kaioppu', in which actress Khushboo plays the lead role.

The Juries for the IFFI-2007 Tuesday recommended 21 feature and 15 non-feature films for the Indian Panorama.

The other Malayalam films that have made it to the list include Lenin Rajendran's 'Ratri Mazha', Adoor Gopalakrishnan's 'Naalu Pennungal' and Babu Thiruvalla's 'Thaniya'.
