Malvi Malhotra Receives Death Threats after Brutal Stab Attack, seeks help from Mumbai Police: See Post

Actress Malvi Malhotra, popularly known for her performance in the show Udaan, had faced an unfortunate stab attack last month. Her producer friend Yogesh Mahipal Singh had stabbed her with a knife in the abdomen and on both hands after she allegedly refused to get married to him.

Malvi was then admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai and also had to undergo plastic surgery. 

It was only now that Malvi was keeping her spirits up and getting back to normal life, that a new trouble has surrounded her. She shared that she has been receiving death threats and stated that she is in “trauma and in constant fear of this incident replaying itself."

Taking to Twitter, Malvi shared in a note which read: 

"I Malvi Malhotra wish to bring your urgent notice the following facts for your scrutiny. Since the brutal attack on me by Yogesh Kumar, I have been receiving death threats from strangers who told me that I haven’t done the right thing and warned me of serious consequences to me and my family members." 

"I also appreciate the efforts of Mumbai police in arresting Yogesh after the attack he carried onto me and have been trying to keep my morale up at every step. I request you to intervene and provide me and my family members with police security to prevent such attacks as I’m in trauma and in constant fear of this incident replaying itself."

She sought help from Mumbai Police as she tagged their Twitter handle in her post. The Mumbai Police responded to her post and commented, “We have followed you. Please share your contact details in DM.”

Meanwhile, the Versova police have arrested the producer and taken him into custody. Yogesh was produced before Andheri metropolitan magistrate court on Thursday and has been sent to police custody till November 2, 2020.
