Malaika Arora’s Revelation: I Faced Many Rejections

Actress-model Malaika Arora made her debut as a film producer in 2008, with former husband Arbaaz Khan, creating the Dabangg series. She starred in films like  Kaante (2002) and EMI (2008), and is best known for her performances in the songs Chaiyya Chaiyya (1998), Gur Naalo Ishq Mitha (1998), Maahi Ve (2002), Kaal Dhamaal (2005), and Munni Badnaam Hui (2010).

Despite not having done a full-blown film in the last 19 years, Malaika Arora has managed to stay in the limelight. She has been a judge of various reality shows like Nach Baliye,  Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, India's Got Talent, India’s Top Model, and more. 

Malaika Arora will be seen as a judge in an upcoming dance reality show India's Best Dance, and during the promotions, she opened up about her personal life. Recalling her memories from her auditions day, she revealed that she faced many rejections.

"I remember going for many auditions and my mother used to accompany me. When I started off, I faced many rejections but that never let me down. I never gave up and kept trying. I was 17 years old when I started with my modelling career and from then one thing led to another” she said in an interview with news agency IANS.

"It was not easy. I didn't know what I wanted to do when I was 15-16 years old and today kids who come for auditions are so clear with what they want to do” she added.

She also revealed that she learned to dance from choreographer Terence Lewis as a child and today she will be judging a show with him.  "I was in my teens when I met Terence about 20 years ago and I was learning dance in his academy and today I am judging a show with him” Malaika stated.

The dance reality show India's Best Dancer will see Bharti Singh and her husband writer Haarsh Limbachiyaa as hosts, and Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapoor, and Terence Lewis as the judges.
